Video of the day...

I want to blog, but I have no inspiration. It's like constipation; you want to, but nothing comes out. But once it comes, it comes. Nothing is passing through the creative veins now, so to keep my blog updated and interesting, I've decided to post a MV.

This MV is David Tao's song, which incidentally is one of my personal favourites, "就是爱你" or loosely translated as "just loving you". The song is really great, the beats are good and the lyrics are meaningful.

In summary, the song is about loving a person, and it is as simple as that. Giving it all in the name of love without expectations nor conditions, loving through all of happiness and sadness, sweet and comforting, just being able to be with the one you love. How sweet and simple love is!

Ah.. The price to pay for getting into the rat race. To be any honest, I would say that I'm a little cagey, yet very relieved that this job hunt is over. You know, pouring through the papers, waiting for calls, preparing for interviews, waiting at the interview room. Alright, I have only been called up by one of the few companies I sent my resume to and was lucky enough to be offered almost immediately.

The offer was not as sweet as I wanted it to be, but I reckon big money can always come later. I could easily reject this offer and look into the market for better paying jobs, but would I be happier sitting down collecting my money and be very much in the same position and doing the same duties for 5-10 years with not much increment? Or start low, and start to climb the ladder and gain as much exposure, while seeing the pay packet expand?

I would go for the latter.

Island life... Love it!!

Soaking up in my current 'unemployed' life, I reckon that a short getaway during the Deepavali long weekend was necessary, especially having worked so hard this semester and having to be a rat racer soon. Hon and I actually planned to go overseas, but places were either limited, over-budget or fully-booked. Yet again, we decided to head to Sentosa. No its not boring, cos we simply adore that place.

At first I was miffed to see the prices of the hotels and resorts there. Courtesy of hon, we decided to take a gamble despite the appalling reviews online and try out the new resort at Siloso Beach; the boringly named Siloso Beach Resort.

Well, all I could say was nothing went wrong, we enjoyed ourselves and the gamble paid of big time! Allow me to use the pictures to share with you guys our experience.

Checking into the hotel, we had to go in through the 'backdoor' from the beach, take a lift up to level 7 and cross this bridge that overlooks the pool...

The waterfall where natural spring water (or so we were told, but the water DID taste a tad salty when we went for a dip...) cascaded 18 metres into the pool.

That's our room and it overlooks the beach. It is directly above Cafe Del Mar, no noise pollution though!

You like it? It's clean and green with one huge bed...

The bathroom's over there! And a window to look out at the sea while dipping in the tub...

A wonderful place to seek solace and inner peace... Relaxing indeed...

Ah... The sand, the sun, the sea.... and us...... Splendid!

We left our footprints behind, and we will be back!

The end and the beginning

This is the end of a phase and the beginning of another.

I can't help but feel a tad empty.

It's like, at the flicker of an eyelid, I have no more lectures, no more projects, no more tests, no more exams, and no direction. Blimey...

I probably need to do something useful to fill myself.
